Provincial Hospital in West Papua Operational Immediately

The West Papua Health Office seeks to get West Papua Hospital operational as soon as possible. One of them is by providing four basic facilities for child health services, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology.

This was said by the Head of the West Papua Health Service, Otto Parrorongan, answering press workers before the plenary meeting of the West Papua DPR in the Aston Niu hotel, Manokwari, Wednesday (12/18/2019).

"The government is still budgeting every year if it will be pushed into a multi-service project, the office will still support it. We hope that 2020 will be finished and operational, "he said.

In line with that, medical equipment procurement will be carried out in stages, where in the 2020 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget Plan a budget of around Rp28 Billion is proposed, including the construction of hospital infrastructure.

Regarding medical staff, Otto said that there were still schools, some were completed and were now being deposited in various hospitals and health centers in West Papua. They will be withdrawn when the hospital is operational later.

Otto also said there were submissions of 280 CPNS health proposals. The Provincial Hospital is expected to immediately be able to serve the people of Papua and no longer need to make referrals outside the region.
