According to Benhur, in his office in Jayapura City Hall, Friday, from 2015 to 2019, Jayapura City Government handled 92.97 percent of the slum area from 100.7 percent of the slum area recorded.

According to him, the 7.73 percent slum area is targeted to be completed this year, so that all parties need cooperation. "So, areas or areas that have not been handled are targeted for completion this year. Now we are planning for the APO 45 area, North Jayapura District," he said.

He mentioned that slums such as entry into Awiyo, Gurabesi, Hamadi, Mandala, Trikora, Wai Mhorock and Yobe Kelurahan have been handled well and can be said to have been completed.

"As for the Bhayangkara Kelurahan, it has not been handled by 1.01 percent, Numbay 0.36 percent, and Tanjung Ria Urban 6.36 percent. All are targeted for completion this year," he said. In fact, he said, the Jayapura City Government's funds or budget this year of Rp19 billion will be used to deal with slums which are only 7.73 percent.
