We Love Indonesia, Nobody Can Pull This Flag From My Hands.

"We Love Indonesia, Nobody Can Pull This Flag From My Hands.

Fakfak Regency has always been known as a city that upholds the values of tolerance and diversity. Fakfak became one of the symbols of peace in the land of Papua, with various ethnicities and religions embedded in it.
.
But due to gusts of provocation from Benny Wenda and Veronica Koman on social media, Fakfak suddenly became hot.
.
Action Saman and residents in the city of Fakfak was never planned. Residents are angry, the demonstrations that were previously initiated peacefully become brutal. Even though the agreement was that the demonstration would be peaceful and carry anti-racism and the entire Fakfak community would support it.
.
Samanhudin Iha (40), a resident of Fakfak, West Papua, told of his efforts to maintain tolerance in his residence. At that time, he waved a red and white flag blocking the crowd of demonstrators who were carrying the Morning Star flag.
.
Saman then shouted a free cry. Bravely, he carried the flag and moved to the right and left in the midst of a violent mass of demonstrators who waved, a symbol of resistance to the independent Papua movement.
.
"I am not afraid to die for red and white. Today I cry for red and white. My tete (grandfather) is a warrior, I eat money for fighters. Don't listen to them, we are there for red and white. "said Saman.
.
Saman recounted starting at 09.00 East Indonesian Time Wednesday (8/21), pro-independent Papuan masses had fiercely burned down the Thumburuni Market, the largest market in Fakfak City. The mob suddenly came from the direction of the city, brutally burning a row of stalls on Jalan Baru, Fakfak City.
.
"I see that someone brought the Morning Star flag. My mind is already (not) wrong. What's going on? So, we fight it with the red and white flag, as a symbol of our resistance with dorang," he said.
.
The Saman action of holding the red and white flag was finally followed by more and more masses. Starting from small children, mothers to parents. They ran around the city while waving red and white flags. The purpose of this movement is only one, namely for the pro-independent Papuan masses to lower the Morning Star flag which they also hold.
.
"Dorang (pro-independent Papuan masses) do not want to lower their flags. We must also be opponents. Kitorang (all of us) are equally loud. Sa (me) is hard, dorang (they are) also hard. We are resistant to flags. "I want to reduce the red and white, but the red and white mass is increasing. The pro-Papuan mass of independence finally lost and they fled to the outskirts of the city. We beat them back out of the city," Saman said.
.
The philosophy of the people of Fakfak as one of the stone stove furnaces also teaches the Fakfak community to never distinguish one religion from another, including the ethnicity or where the community came from.
.
"Many Fakfak people intermarry, from other tribes, even from other religions. Still we are one and never break up. In one house, sometimes there are 2-3 different religions. We remain harmonious. Only from different ways of worship, the goal is one, God Almighty, "he said.
.
One three-stone furnace is also in line with Unity in Diversity. Therefore, to maintain harmony in Fakfak, Saman's actions have never wavered in maintaining the Homeland in his village.
.
"We love Indonesia, no one can take this flag from my hand. I am willing to die for the sake of the Republic of Indonesia," Saman's voice trembled.
