Jayawijaya regent, John Richard Banua, ensures security in Wamena, and Jayawijaya regency in general remains conducive, ahead of December 1, which is usually celebrated as the anniversary of Papuan Independence.

According to Regent Jhon, there is currently no anticipation ahead of December 1, because he believes the local community does not carry out any activities, especially December 1 is Sunday.

"Sunday is a day of worship for Christians. I have also been to the district and appealed to the entire community to continue to carry out religious activities as usual on that date, "he said, Wednesday 27 November 2019.
