Papua provincial government exempts vehicle tax penalties until the end of November

The Government of the Papua Province has made free the payment of motor vehicle tax fines for the people in its area until the end of November 2019.
.
Papua Province Head of Regional Income Management Agency (Bapenda) Gerson Djitmau said in Jayapura on Sunday that his party had reminded the public to take advantage of the facilities to settle their obligations in paying motor vehicle tax both two and four wheels.
.
"I appeal to the people of Papua to take advantage of the whitening of motor vehicle tax penalties, the elimination of vehicle transfer fees and administrative sanctions, in accordance with Governor Decree No. 188.4 / 207/2019, where this decision will end on 31 November 2019," he said.
.
According to Gerson, this tax exemption is not done every year, so the public is expected to take advantage of this opportunity to pay taxes.
.
"Therefore, for owners of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles, please come to the Samsat office in regencies / cities in Papua to pay taxes, do not delay," he said.
.
He explained that tax payment is a mandatory thing that must be done by the community, if it is not done then there is a criminal sanction that is applied, because what is paid is only the principal tax and applies to all Samsat in the Papua Province region including the traveling samsat.
.
"After November 2019, late payment fees will return to normal," he said.
.
He added that his party also asked officers to be able to serve people who pay taxes quickly and not be convoluted.
