12 Sinak District Village Head Rejects OPM

A total of 12 tribal leaders in the Sinak District agreed to make an agreement to fight and reject the presence of OPM in their district. By bringing the Red and White flags they came to the Sinak District Office, Puncak Papua to prove that the Red and White NKRI was a fixed price. They also agreed to fight against armed civilian groups in the Sinak area.

The agreement in the yard of the Sinak District Office, Puncak, Papua was attended by 12 tribal leaders and witnessed by hundreds of Sinak residents from various villages in the Puncak Mountains, Papua.

They agreed to reject the presence of the TPN or OPM in the Sinak area and would give customary fines to residents and their families who were found to be accommodating to provide lodging or to hide TPN or OPM members in their homes.

The statement was made because the people in Sinak no longer want any security disturbance, let alone attack the authorities and commit murder.

A statement signed by 12 village heads was handed over to Sinak District Chief Kwarnus Murib. Attitude Statement from 12 Village Heads in Sinak District, Puncak Jaya Regency, which contains a rejection of the existence of OPM in Sinak District, Puncak Jaya Regency:

1. We regret and condemn the perpetrators of the murder and seizure of firearms carried out by the OPM in Sinak Police Headquarters.

2. We reject the existence of TPN / OPM in 12 villages in Sinak District, Puncak Jaya Regency.
.
3. We ask the TNI / Polri to pursue and arrest the perpetrators of the killing of members of the Polri alive or dead so that development in the Sinak District can resume.

4. If in the future there are community members in 12 villages in the Sinak District to accommodate, feed, hide or provide a place to stay overnight at the TPN / OPM then we on behalf of the community to the 12 villages will impose customary fines on the community families who provide such assistance in the amount of adat fines imposed on the perpetrators of the killings.

Furthermore, the agreement of 12 village or tribal heads was handed over directly to the Papua Regional Police Chief Inspector General Paulus Waterpauw.
